  1. The Role Of Digitalization In Today's Treatment Plants
    10/9/2019

The best systems are ones that are not just effective by design; importantly, they are employed to optimal effect. When it comes to treatment plant instrumentation and automation, it's essential that the volumes of data collected throughout the treatment process are easily understood and acted upon. In this video, Jack Roushey, Marketing Manager for the Flow Division of Siemens Process Instrumentation, talks about how Siemens addresses these challenges through their portfolio of process measurement and analytics systems. He discusses the advantages of digitalization, including digital twin technology, and how smart instruments can be leveraged to solve some of the industry's highest-level concerns, such as water quality and resiliency, while making it more simple than ever for operators.

  2. Water: It Matters More Than Ever
    8/29/2019

Water. It’s vital to human life, our economy, and ecosystem - the very survival of our planet. But water challenges are growing more intense than ever before. Increasing volatile weather patterns fueled by climate change, crumbling infrastructure, pollution, and over population that is causing a surge in the demand for water. This means the world’s supply of clean water is rapidly declining putting our future at risk.

  5. Mazzei Degas Separators Selected For Wichita Aquifer Project
    4/25/2017

A key component of the water supply plan for the City of Wichita, Kansas, was recharging the large aquifer that lies under the region with water from the Little Arkansas River. The river basin contains substantial farming operations which, during rain events, spike the river water with the commonly used herbicide Atrazine. Atrazine concentrations in the river frequently rose forcing the city to shutdown the bank filtration system. Advanced oxidation process (AOP) was selected to remove the herbicide. The AOP reactor’s design limited the amount of hydraulic backpressure it could tolerate. Consequently, Mazzei was challenged by the project’s design team to remove the entrained gas bubbles that remained from the prior oxidation treatment at a “not to exceed” hydrostatic backpressure of 19 feet.

  6. Utilizing Mobile Devices To Assist In Sensor Management
